Dave Needs a Job

This is the scene outside my house right now.  What you can't see is the other car on the sidewalk that's smoking.

 

I'm sure many of you remember the whiteboard.  I brought it back to illustrate the importance of good organization.

 

As I mentioned in a couple posts ago, I had a barber in Binghamton named Finesse.  Finesse was a New York City native who came to Binghamton to sell drugs, or so he said.  He also said he was running the barbershop while the owner was in jail.

 

One day while Finesse was in the middle of cutting my hair, two police officers came in with a cab driver.  The cabbie said Finesse put two big trash bags of laundry in the trunk of the cab when he picked him up.  The cabbie said his coat was in the trunk and after he dropped off Finesse he noticed money was missing from the coat.

 

Finesse wasn't having it and gave the cops a ton of attitude.  I don't know if he took the money or not, but I didn't want my barber to get the cuffs slapped on him for disrespecting a cop with half of my hair cut off.  This was only the second time I had been to Finesse.  The first time he offered me drugs.

 

The cabbie went outside with the cops for a bit and after a while one came back in and said Finesse was off the hook.  Relief.

Yo Franklin, flip the switch! 

 

Looking for a job is tough and you can hit a lot of walls, but you have to keep trying.

To make a long story short, about a year ago I bought this domain (and mhdrecords.com) so I could showcase my music. I've been writing and recording my own songs for about six years or so as a hobby. After speaking with my attorney, I decided it was best to copyright my work and most cost effective to copyright an entire body of work rather than one song at a time. The body of work never came so I've got this site with nothing on it.

 

After reading a story in The Washington Post about unemployed people finding creative ways to occupy themselves while searching for jobs, I realized that I would need to find something to do with myself in between sending resumes and combing my network for leads.

 

Tada.

 

The first order of business is to get my living space in order, which means turning
